We can’t help ourselves – we had so much fun at the real reunion in October that we want to get together again in June. Yes, next month June. We had quite a few people unable to make it in October who expressed interest in having another chance, so what could we do? This time it’s a totally informal and casual mini-reunion get-together. Here are the details:
- When? Saturday, June 13 (which happens to be the end of the week of 6/8. 6/8, get it? 6 8? ’68? Duh.)
- Where? Livermore Round Table on East Ave (the same one we went to after the football game in October)
- Time? 6 pm – 9 pm or perhaps even later if anyone our age can stay awake that long
- Self-order, self-pay, self-serve
- No advance tickets or reservations required
- Bring your name tag from any &/or all earlier reunions. It could be of value to you to do so!!
We wanted to take advantage of the fact that this will be Rodeo Weekend. If you’re coming into town, you can see the Rodeo Parade Saturday at 10 am on 2nd St, catch the Rodeo at Robertson Park at 2:00 pm and then gather with good (old?) friends in the evening. For more details about the Rodeo events, check out the Rodeo website: http://www.elivermore.com/rodeoparade.htm. I understand that both Livermore High and Granada High are holding their graduations on Friday evening, 6/12 so that’s another reason to come to town!
Please let us know if you’re coming by responding to this message. Of course, it’s not like you have to buy a ticket or pinky swear or anything; we’re just trying to get an idea of numbers. Last minute change-of-plans and drop-ins are absolutely welcome.
If you have updated contact/email info for yourself or any other classmates, please send that along too. We’d like to include every one of our classmates that we can. Check out the reunion website – it’s still up and running: http://www.livermorehigh1968.myevent.com/
Good friends. Good times. See you in June.
Chris Czapla (Mohr)
Unfortunately, I never got around to that face lift so I guess I’ll just have to go once again as a little old lady.
