City: Livermore Occupation: Dental Assistant for an Endodontist Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 5 From Janice: After years in the dental field I changed careers to Worker's Compensation. I did that for 12 yrs. but after getting re-married I decided I wanted to work closer to home. I went back into dentistry, working at the same Endodontist office, but with a new owner/dentist. I now have a 5 minute drive or 20 min. walk to work. I remarried just over 10 years ago. I have 4 wonderful adult bonus children, and 3 bonus grandchildren with # 4 on the way. My daughter Heather works in P-town so I see her often. My Dad lives in Sacramento now. I'm really looking forward to this weekend we have got some fun events planned, and lots of time for visiting. |

State/Prov.: TX Occupation: Data Architect/SAP Design Analyst Marital Status: Single From Sandra: Hi All, Honestly, do not remember much about HS. I was really shy (though no one seemed to realize this) and was an inward person. So, my last two years, I spent most of my time cutting HS school and going to Berkeley to Beat Coffee shops and Haight-Ashbury where I felt a little more comfortable with the politico talk and alternative life styles. In a nutshell – left Livermore, worked a bit, moved to LA to go to Cal Poly, got a BA Degree in English (paid my own way), & travelled in Mexico. I worked most of my life as an IT Consultant (Information Technology) all over the country – in SF, LA, NY (on Wall Street) and Boston. Started as a computer programmer and now am Data Architect (data analyst, data modeler, database designer & business analyst). Last few years have travelled again some - to Asia and throughout Europe to implement SAP systems globally for oil industry clients. Have some of the same interests I had in HS (probably no one knew, though) in Eastern religions, mysticism, living on the land, communal living, etc. Got into the study of Tibetan Buddhism, met many teachers, and now enjoy living a simple meditative life in the country. Besides my Techno career, am into sustainable living (& green building) – love art and Architecture (lifelong interest), alternative building methods, such as cob and straw bale. I studied and now practice Permaculture design – developed my own sustainable land design (or conversion) for my 3 acre organic, micro-farm – the work is never-ending and is in progress. In Texas the weather is good for growing year round – it is sub-tropical, even! Have my hands way too full, as I am not married and am still working in the “real world”, on assignment. At home, I am trying to save some breeds of heritage farm animals (heritage geese and turkeys) and have a ton of other small farm animals - pigs, goats, chickens, guineas, dogs & cats. A small zoo! That's about it!! Spend most of all my free time developing Hen Hill Farm, writing some, too – at least when I am not working on somebody’s freaking computer system, somewhere else in the world, or staying in my Houston home to be closer to my client base. Hope to develop a small intentional eco-community here – when I find some takers. There is some interest, lately. Didn’t know many of you from HS – but happy to hear from anyone who may remember me, or just wants to chat, especially about Permaculture, farming or gardening – or anything you like. Don’t have photos to upload, unfortunately. See my web page: http://zenbender.googlepages.com/ Or email me at, Sandra Burnett |

City: Centennial State/Prov.: Colorado Occupation: High School Secretary Marital Status: Divorced No. of Children: 2 From Katherine: 4o years - wow! I can hardly believe it has been that long. I have lived in Denver now for 21 years, but it is still not "home". Wish I could be there for the fun. Thanks to the committee for doing all of the work to put this together. It would have been fun to see everyone. My 2 kids live here in the Denver area and are gainfully employed but are not married so there are no grandchildren. I have worked in the schools for most of my years here and have been at the high school for 3 years. There are 3500 students here - a little bigger than LHS. My office is in the building with the choirs and bands. Memories of choir with Mr. Goldsmith and band with Mr. Stasko pop up when I hear the choir sing or band play. Those were a big part of my high school years. Everybody have a good time this weekend! Enjoy the football game and if there is a marching band - give them a big cheer! |

City: Richmond State/Prov.: CA Occupation: State Lobby Prog. Director, Sierra Club Marital Status: Single From paula: I feel distant from Livermore High, although I'm not sure that the years are a proper measure. It's been an interesting 40, that's for sure, and I am curious to learn how everyone else has made the trip. I would not, in 1968, have accurately predicted anything that is my life now, so I suspect that all of you will also be a surprise. Looking forward to the shock . . . |
