It's been an occasionally interesting 40 years.

(If anyone had told me I'd be spending my time grading papers, I think I'd have called for the men in the white coats!)

From Steve :

After high school I bounced around between UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis as an undergrad and grad student.  I actually roomed with Jerry Schweickert's little brother Mitch for a bit in grad school.....Mitch didn't get into nearly as much trouble as Jerry.  I've worked for the Calif Dept Water Resources for  more than 30 years....about half of which I've dealt with fish and water quality issues in the Delta.  I'm starting to think about retirement but haven't got there yet.  I have a great 16 year old son who is now taller and smarter than me.  I hang out with him as much as he'll let me.....trying to convince him to donate part of his rather impressive Afro towards my hair transplant.  No luck yet but I still have at least  year and a half before he's out of the house.  I'm getting  back into endurance bicycling for health, spirit and sanity.  We'll see how long I last.  I'm looking forward to seeing you folks at the reunion.

From Randy:
The day the Livermore High School graduating class of 1968 stepped onto the football field for the last time as a class, I thought I knew right where my life journey would take me. I have become the person I wanted to be, but I took an unexpected path to get here. During the summers of my junior and senior years of high school, I worked as a firefighter for the California Department of Forestry. After my summers of firefighting, I enlisted for three years in the Army. Following that I enjoyed life until, at 29, I met the woman who would become my wife. My life changed for the better. I rejoined the Army and completed a 25 year career, traveling to 49 of our 50 states, South Korea, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, and England. We raised three children (2 boys and 1 girl), and now have 3 grandchildren (we got rid of the dog and cat). I am working as a Defense Contractor in Huntsville, Alabama doing logistics systems planning and implementation.

From SUSAN:
Wow! 40 year reunion!  Good thing we're all in the same boat or this would be embarrassing.  It's been a great 40 years.  I have been in Mesa Arizona since 1984.  My husband works for Southwest Airlines and I have spent most of the last 32 years raising kids (4).  Tried a little bit of school teaching but mostly have just been "MOM".  I'm now Grandma, actually Nana, to 10 little ones.  All my kids and grandkids live here in Mesa so life is busy.  I always thought I'd go back to teaching but just haven't found the time.  I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.

After graduation I got drafted, spent two years in the army on a tank crew, got out and went to work for a trucking company.  I worked 33 years there, and then retired. While I was working I went to flight school and became a single handle multi-engine flight instructor. I spent a lot of time in Alaska. I got roped into bartending for this reunion. So come see me at the bar, I'll tell you more.
See ya there,

Jim
